During the Food Festival, the China Hotel Association released several heavyweight industry reports, including the "2023 Annual Survey Report on China's Catering Industry". The 2023 Annual Report on China's Catering Industry covers various business formats such as regular meals, hotpot, group meals, fast food, Japanese cuisine, Western cuisine, and tea drinks, which have attracted much attention. The report shows that in 2022, the regular dining industry, fast food industry, and group dining industry in China showed a stable development trend, with a slight increase in both the year-on-year changes in average store revenue and the number of stores; Many regions across the country are actively laying out the prefabricated vegetable industry and have successively released policy documents to support the local prefabricated vegetable industry. At the same time, the construction of relevant standards is also in full swing. Under the triple influence of market, policy, and standards, the pre packaged food industry will enter a new stage of standardized development; The trend of cross-border catering is still ongoing. According to incomplete statistics, there were nearly 40 cross-border incidents in the catering industry last year, covering areas such as pre made meals, coffee, and tea drinks. However, at the same time, the report also believes that the market competition in the catering industry is increasingly fierce, and the entry threshold is getting higher and higher. According to relevant platform statistics, the number of revoked or cancelled catering related enterprises in the first half of 2023 reached 471900, which is almost the same as the situation in 2022.
